Competition Format
Show 1
Online Submissions Participants will submit their original song compositions online through our dedicated Who’s Got Soul portal. Submissions will be open for a specified period to allow singers, singer songwriters and rappers from all corners of Germany to participate.
Show 2
After a thorough review by our panel of expert judges, the top 50 entries will be selected. These lucky singers, singer-songwriters and/or rappers will proceed to the next round, where they’ll be posted on the Who’s Got Soul website to be voted on by the public and get the chance to work with professional musicians and mentors to fine-tune their creations.
Show 3
Once the online voting has ended, the top 15 contestants with the highest number of votes will be chosen to move forward and get the opportunity to collaborate with established musicians and songwriters. These talented singers, singer-songwriters, and rappers will receive additional coaching, allowing them to polish their performance and presentation.
Show 4
Mentorship and Collaboration. In this round, the top 15 contestants will be paired with a mentor who specializes in their chosen genre. Together, they’ll refine the composition, add depth to the lyrics, and explore new musical arrangements in preparation for their live performance.
Show 5
Live Performances! It’s time for the finalists to shine on the big stage! The top 15 contestants will perform their songs live at a grand event. Each performance will be evaluated by a combination of audience votes and the expert judging panel. The atmosphere will be electrifying as the contestants showcase their original creations and talent.
Show 6
After 10 live shows and a rigorous elimination process, we will unveil the top three artists. These exceptional singers, singer-songwriters, or rappers will have demonstrated their remarkable singing, songwriting or rapping abilities and captivating stage presence. At this point, the spotlight shifts to our audience, who will have the opportunity to vote online for their favorite artist.
Final Show
Announcing the Winner: The contestant achieving the highest overall score, combining both audience votes and evaluations from our esteemed judging panel, will be crowned as the WGS Master! This outstanding artist will be awarded a grand prize of €50,000, which includes a coveted recording contract with a major record label, an exclusive music video production deal, and the exciting prospect of performing at various events and festivals across Germany.
